Kanyakumari Social Service Society (KKSSS) was established in the year 1972 with the motto 'To Reach Out and Empower'. It is registered under Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975, S. No.57/1972. It is an official social work wing of the Catholic Diocese of Thuckalay, Tamil Nadu, India. It strives to fulfil its mission to provide holistic development opportunities to diverse vulnerable groups in the operational area to excel in life by developing income generating opportunities, assisting school and college students for their academic excellence, providing comprehensive health care facilities especially palliative care, empowering women through Self Help Groups (SHGs), fostering values, creating civic responsibility, inculcating environmental concern and building sustainable communities in a dynamic environment. It serves all vulnerable and marginalised population of the operational area, irrespective of their caste, religion, denomination, creed etc. It is trailblazer in the field of palliative care in Kanyakumari district, Tamilnadu, India. It completed more than 50 development projects successfully with the collaboration of government, inter-national, national and state funding agencies. It endeavours to build strong, committed and resilient communities in partnership with Corporate Social Responsibility and Institutional Social Responsibility initiatives.
